Camelsong

words and music by Mitch McVicker

The sky's been torn and the moon is red.
The world will soon be engulfed by grace.
My heart's been born but it's been yellowin'
so I'm hopping on a camel
'cause it'll be making its way to where...

Chorus
Darkness turns to light, death turns to life.
The silent will yell as the empty are filled
and the camels go squeezing through the eye of the needle.

Lord, you know my soul, and though physics escape me
a camel could eat me in three bites.
And that needle seems so impossible.
But not for you,
'cause the camel will find that place where...

Chorus

None of us deserve a bit of your love.
But you took the eye of the needle and opened it up.

And you see my soul, but Jesus is disguising me.
So there is hope and the camels squeeze, yes and...

Chorus

From Mitch:
"Jesus said, it is harder for a rich man to enter heaven than than it is for a camel to squeeze through the eye of a needle. But that was aimed towards those whose hang up was money and materialism. Your or my hang up may be a different one, or the very same one, but Jesus has overcome all of them with the gracious act of laying down his life for us. He has opened up heaven to everyone. Because of Jesus, camels squeeze through needles."
