Freedom

words and music by Mitch McVicker

When I look up I long to see you, Lord
But when I look around I see for evermore
But I know I do not know what lies in store
What lies in store today

So I'm gonna pray I'll pray a prayer of hope
That I walk by faith through this world I used to know
And you're there you're my
Saviour to light my way

Chorus
And don't you ever let me see too much
Or else I just might break from this freedom, yeah

So now when I sing you know I aim to please
Only my King from a heart that's down on its knees
That's one command I think I might have
A good chance to keep
And I'm so glad there's one

Chorus

Bridge
I wanna see through His eyes
I wanna let faith be my guide
As I'm walk, walk, walkin' through this life

Chorus

So now when I speak I pray you hear the truth
Comin' from the mouth of a boy who has over
And over proved God's love
And the forgiveness found in His son

Chorus

I wrote this song about 3 1/2 years ago when I was still in college and housesitting for Beaker and Julie. Since I was more naive when I wrote this song than the others, sometimes I don't think I should like it. But I think that's what makes it good.
