words and music by Mitch McVicker
Every dog'll have its day
But everyday the sun will shine
I hope I never see the day when I leave You behind
So much is callin' out my name
So much of it I choose to hear
I must admit I'm so afraid my love's no more than fear
'Cause every single day I spend
Somewhere between one hour and ten
Just lettin' my soul run around wild
And there's a simple prayer I love to pray
I never do unless rain comes my way
But without You, Lord my walk wouldn't last a mile
Chorus
I don't wanna live, I don't wanna live, I don't wanna live,
Don't wanna live without You, Lord
Don't wanna live, don't wanna live down here all alone
I don't wanna live, I don't wanna live, I don't wanna live,
Don't wanna live without some hope
To hang my hat on
If home is where the heart is at
Then I forget where all I've lived
'Cause my shelter never lasts, the wind just blows within
It leaves me tattered and torn
By the gusts and by the gales
And in the middle of the storm my faith just seems so frail
But every single day I'm blessed
As you lift me from the tangled mess
Caused by the whirlwind turnin' deep inside
And I never cease to be amazed
How Your simple love still somehow plays
The biggest part of all things in my life
Chorus
Bridge
'Cause every single day I spend
Somewhere between one hour and ten
Just lettin' my soul run around wild
But I never cease to be amazed
How Your simple love still somehow plays
The biggest part of all things in my life, and that's why
Chorus
(repeat)

I wrote this song in the dormroom of a good friend of mine, Patrick Sehl, when I was back visiting some people in Wichita. I remember thinking the song had three different hooks in it. I don't know if it does, but it has turned into my hard rock song.
