Hi Mitch friends,
The Homeless Man Tour fall dates and consequent Mitch McVicker fall dates have concluded. Mitch, Michael, and Eric, have all settled into separate schedules thru Christmas 1998 until they rejoin and continue with Mitch McVicker concerts in January and February 1999 and then resume Homeless Man tour dates. Just as a clarification (because I was asked), all three men now call Nashville their residence, professionally speaking. However Mitch and Michael still have family in Kansas, while Eric's family are in Cincinnati.
Mitch will take some time off this month, and relax a little. He's taking care of a little business in Nashville, and then comes "home for Christmas" to Topeka next week.
Eric is presently touring this Chistmas season, as he did last year, with Rebecca St James. For more info on those dates see Rebecca's web page at http://www.rsjames.com. If you won't get to see that tour, you'll be able to hear it online. Rebecca's December 14th concert at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium will be recorded and then made available on her web page as Real Audio for 36 hours. It will be posted at noon Central time on Christmas eve, and will remain online until midnight Central time on Christmas day. Check it out, and listen for the cello. For ticket information to attend that concert and taping, call 615-370-9296.
Michael got "home for Christmas" in Wichita this past week for the holiday season. He has joined with friends David Dibbern and Brad Layher to prepare a Christmas concert and will be performing it in the Wichita area thru Christmas. The three will be covering a very wide variety of instruments, and if you are anywhere in the area, or traveling thru Kansas for Christmas, I highly recommend trying to catch one of the dates (see below). I stopped by Michael's house last night to pick up a schedule of dates, and the entire basement was filled with instruments as they rehearsed, including marimba, drums, hammered dulcimers (three of them, and Michael told me they will have at least two played together during the concert), guitar, accordion, mandola, and various percussion and others. I will hopefully be able to attend one of the concerts, and send a review.
Here are the dates that they have booked so far...
