Northern Shore Productions has been formed with a central vision of producing and developing new artists and songwriters in conjunction with record companies by someone who has been involved in the industry as a writer, artist and producer since 1981.
As a producer, Billy has worked and helped developed such artists as: White Heart, Geoff Moore, Gaither Vocal Band, Magaret Becker, Twenty Twenty, One Bad Pig, Jag, Randy Matthews, Idle Cure, Rhonda Gunn, Cheryl Jewel, and Rachel Rachel.
He has produced more than 30 albums, 52 top ten songs, and 21 No. 1 songs. He also produced the Grammy nominated song "Silent Night", recorded by BeBe & CeCe Winans and co-produced the Grammy nominated albums, "Whiteheart", and "Tales of Wonder". His formal training includes a bachelors degree in Music Theory and Composition from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California.
Billy is also no stranger to the top of the radio charts when it comes to writing. He has co-written 22 no. 1 songs. He has also co-written 42 top five songs, and over 60 top twenty songs. He has written for such artists as Susan Ashton, Petra, The Newsboys, Steve Green, Rachel Rachel, Jag, Whitecross, Kenny Marks, Sandy Patty, Larnelle Harris, Imperials, First Call, Geoff Moore, Denise Williams, and Magaret Becker.
"I treat all of this as a great privilege. In some ways I hope to be what you almost might call an "A&R Talent Scout" for the labels, to take the time to develop, create and focus from the ground level what an artist can become - not only with the songwriting, but live performance, marketing, and a ministry statement so the label doesn't have to spend a lot of excess time in these areas just getting an artist up to speed - which seems to happen a lot of times with raw but unfocused new talent. With my experience as both an artist and a producer - I feel that this kind of approach can be very beneficial for both the label and the artist".
